Confused by wagering requirements, rollover, and sticky bonuses? This plain-English guide decodes the most common bonus jargon so you always know exactly what you're signing up for.
Pro tip: Always read the T&C before claiming any bonus. Even a small rollover difference (X10 vs X20) can significantly affect how much you can realistically withdraw.
Wagering / Rollover Requirement
This is the number of times you must bet the bonus amount before you're allowed to withdraw winnings derived from that bonus. A 10x rollover on a MYR 100 bonus means you need to wager MYR 1,000 in total before cashing out.
Example: MYR 100 bonus × 15x rollover = MYR 1,500 must be wagered before withdrawal is unlocked.
Maximum Bet During Bonus Play
Most platforms impose a maximum bet cap while you're playing with an active bonus balance. Exceeding this cap — even unintentionally — can result in bonus forfeiture. The cap is typically between MYR 25 and MYR 50 per spin or round.
Example: If the max bet cap is MYR 30, placing a MYR 35 bet while bonus funds are active may void the bonus.
Game Contribution Rate
Not all games contribute equally to clearing your wagering requirement. Slots typically contribute 100%, but table games like Baccarat, Blackjack, or Roulette may only contribute 10%-20% of each bet toward your rollover total.
Example: A MYR 100 Baccarat bet at 10% contribution only counts MYR 10 toward your rollover target.
Bonus Expiry Window
Bonuses are time-limited. Common windows are 7 days, 14 days, or 30 days from the date of activation. If you haven't cleared the wagering requirement before the expiry date, the bonus and any associated winnings are removed.
Example: A 7-day welcome bonus activated on the 1st expires at midnight on the 8th — unused bonus forfeited.
Sticky vs. Non-Sticky Bonus
A sticky bonus cannot be withdrawn — only the winnings generated from it can. A non-sticky (or cashable) bonus can itself be withdrawn once wagering requirements are met. Non-sticky bonuses are generally more player-friendly.
Example: MYR 100 sticky bonus + MYR 50 winnings. You can withdraw MYR 50 but NOT the original MYR 100 bonus.
Maximum Cash-Out (Bonus-Derived Winnings)
Even after completing wagering requirements, some bonuses cap the total amount you can withdraw from bonus-derived winnings. This protects platforms from outsized payouts while still rewarding regular players fairly.
Example: MYR 50 free spin bonus with a MYR 500 max cash-out — even if you win MYR 2,000, only MYR 500 is withdrawable.
